Jackson makes it 10 for Northwestern

Safety Bryce Jackson took his first visit to Northwestern on Tuesday and Wednesday. By the time he left campus, he was a Wildcat.

The 6-foot, 185-pounder from Denton (Texas) Guyer committed to head coach Pat Fitzgerald on Wednesday afternoon, shortly before leaving Evanston to catch a flight back home.

Jackson chose Northwestern over offers from Wake Forest, Army, Navy, New Mexico, Nevada, Texas-San Antonio and three Ivy League schools, among others. He was also considering Duke.

He is the 10th member of the Wildcats’ Class of 2017, and its second safety, joining fellow Texan Austin Hiller.
