The three-star prospect from Plain City (Ohio) Jonathan Alder chose Northwestern over finalists Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State and Duke (all but Ohio State had offered). He had collected offers from 17 schools overall.

Pugh, ranked as the No. 12 tight end in the nation, committed to the Wildcats shortly after returning from an overnight visit to Evanston on Friday and Saturday.
